Graphic Design assignment for uni. We were given the text and had to make a poster using just typography.
With this poster I created a kind of logo from two Bs that I thought resembled two rows of books. I made it the attracting point of the poster, with its somewhat ambiguous shape hopefully inciting curiosity in the viewer to decipher it and read on. I dont know if that happens or not lol.
With the combination of the 'logo' and the colours I wanted to reference Nazi symbolism, as the text ends on a slightly darker note by mentioning the book burnings that were staged in Germany.
Alot of people in my class made thier poster design look like a book in various ways, so I wanted to stay completely away from that.
And yes, I know it looks like I'm trying to sell suhi haha.
I selected "encourage advanced critique" because if you want to offer it I'll gladly take on what you've got to say, as I dont really have alot of perspective on whether what I'm doing is good or not - hence my not submitting any of my design stuff until now, it's largely embarrassingly mediocre
Thanks The design work I do for uni always manages to be not that great. I have a feeling if I just did some random stuff on my own it'd be slightly better heh. And thanks for commenting
