The other day it was raining really heavily. I love the atmosphere with heavy rain - like something huge is about to go down - and it inspired me to do something along those lines with dark brooding clouds.
Its extremely messy, but in some places you can make out semi-abstract frowns and angry faces (theyre not very obvious) as well as the clawed fingers reaching down.
I finally came up with the idea that I could have a showdown between these clouds and a majestic rainbow... This is the rainbow in defeat, just after it had given up so it still retains the vibrant colours it had in life, but they're starting to flow out and get muddled up as the rainbow loses its form and becomes limp.
The bottom is one of those ice fields, with trees in the background. I got the idea of the colours mixing and flowing away from Mary Poppins, when it starts to rain on all Dick Van Dyke's cool chalk drawings!
Anyway, its not the most slickest thing ive done
, especially the way it appears here, but...I liked the idea.Follow me on Facebook for a more "compelling and rich" (Burgundy 2004) Simanion experience: [link]
