Temporary Peace of Mind

Second of two pieces I did for my drawing semester work at uni. You can see them both together here in my scraps

This one basically represents the stage when I finally do get to sleep and the dreams that ensue. Essentially it's just random imagery (eg. the banana). I wanted to create a kind of claustrophobic feeling to the dream because really, it's going to be over very quickly as it's time to get up soon lol. So it feels like all the dreaming I have to do gets crammed into short five minute bursts of randomness.

This should really be multi media, but as I passed it off as a drawing for the markers I may as well pass it off for one her too It's basically all on paper mache type surface. Layers and layers of tissue and paper towel + alot of water and glue. It was a bit of a stupid idea really because when it dried it became like concrete...so it was like drawing on concrete with a felt tip pen, and we all know how hard that is..right?
