I was edging to something really colourful for a while, so...here's a bit of that

This isn't the best photo and doesn't quite capture the detail clearly... my camera is hanging on to dear life after being dropped and aquatically submerged a few too many times. I'll let you know if I get a better reproduction!

The sky was fun to do, but wow did it take forever. To be completely honest, I don't really know what's going on in this picture, lol. It was a fairly impulsive undertaking. But to the best of my knowledge it's a presumably sentient, benign, drippy, melting, jellybean-esque creature/tree. And Spanish. Señor Meltoro. A part of me wanted him to be Guillermo MelToro, but I restrained myself.

Hope you like! :aww:

Hello, really good job. What i prefer is the difference between the happy colors and the feeling it gives...

Sure, it's Reeves. Sometimes Cotman for some colours, but mostly Reeves :D

Great use of abstract and figurative forms in this pop surrealist painting! Aside from the obviously well executed use of color theory, you've managed to make an otherwise symmetrical portrait, very compelling and communicative. And though you say "I don't know what's going on in this picture..." I gotta say, it speaks for itself pretty clearly. Sometimes reflecting and figuring out what your piece is about, post-rendering can be the best part in the creation process. If you like pop surrealism, maybe check out my small, but promising little blog. Any feedback or sharing by you would be much appreciated to say the least. [link]

Thankyou so much for your wonderful comment! My permanent struggle - to make by boring obsession with front-on symmetry vaguely interesting. Haha. Great work with the blog by the way. I don't really frequent blog much generally, but I like how diverse yours is in terms of interests and the visual combined with music :D
