For someone very special to me.

A month-late birthday present..I felt bad but in the end it didnt matter. Sometimes it's hard to say a lot of things to someone without sounding really cheesy, so this was a way of saying it without the cheese (hopefully).

I don't do people in my work very often and this was a real challenge, even though it's a stylized version.

Hopefully the painting acts as a bond between us, regardless of where we are in our respective lives..

Hope you all like it too!

i like it. the style reminds me of junji ito, who did uzumaki, tomie, gyo and some other horror manga, but more colorful. it look nice!!

Thanks! I just Googled Junji Ito and I can definitely see what you mean. There is a slight manga/anime influence on this piece I think, and generally when I draw eyes and some faces. Probably because I started out (like lots of people) drawing my favourite cartoon characters, lol. Funny how some things stick with you :D

I totally understand what you mean. When I was begginning to draw manga some years ago, I was reading FMA and the style of Hiromu Arakawa kinda stick to me since that time:XD:
