I chose to do Illustrative Typography or (type as illustration to be slightly more elaborate) as the theme for my major Graphic Design work and this is one of the posters I'm doing - the rest are yet to be..ahem..significantly worked on, heh.... *is dying*

Hopefully it gets its message across and presents the issue clearly enough. And whoever says males can't be feminists is whack.

There aren't many pieces like this (and hardly any of my uni work) in my gallery here, but I have a great passion for typography in general and especially imaginative typographic approaches, so hopefully there'll be more in the future :D

Do silhouettes qualify as nudity and thus "mature content"? ...Lol.

Hi there! I am looking for material to start a social media campaign for the Feminist Society at the Unviversity of Galway and I came accross this image. Could we use it for the campaign? Thanks!

Hi! Thanks very much for your positive response and apologies for the late answer. The committee took a summer break but now we are back and ready to start the campaign. If there is any weblink you would like us to specifically quote along the work, please let us know. I will send you the links of the campaign to keep you updated! Thanks again! :)

This is really cool, would I be able to use this in my media speech on the sexual objectification of women in the media and its affects on society? The visual components are important and I think this really introduces the topic well. If its ok, what can I credit you with?

Thankyou! I was undecided for ages between this monochrome/shiny ink look, and one that had gradients. I don't think I'm good enough with gradients to pull it off yet, so this one looked way better and was also bolder and more direct. Glad you like it :aww:

Hah - well I think this was a good choice - it give it a sleek glassy kinda look rather than taking the focuse away. Think lover rather than dancer xD

thats a really good concept, i took it the wrong way before reading it though.. it basically spells out to me that women ARE objects... ? despite that its very clever... you have a talent for this so far, would love to see something else

Thanks man! Yeah well actually you kind of read it right..in a way. It's saying that they are somethimes perceived as and treated as objects, and as such ARE objects in contemporary society. Hopefully there'll be more typographic stuff in the near future :D

Very creative typography illustrations! The gradient drop shadows really bring out each letter and create a sense of dimension within the piece. A great concept behind the design. :)

Mature Content Filter is On (Contains: Nudity). The Artist has chosen to restrict viewing to deviants 18 and older.
