The idea is that they all have the same background and are set in space. The content is completely unplanned and the work only begins to emerge as I see things in the shapes being created and built up. A very organic process. When I don't get any good feelings from one I throw it away and start again until something shines through.
It's actually a couple of months old, I just could not for the life of me get a good reproduction. But I just recently acquired a new scanner that's a massive improvement (on shit), so yay!
